Lost and Found-a Moving Story

Sometimes, I hear about a customer's U-Pack experience that is just too cool to keep to myself.  This is definitely one of those times! Check out this true story:

Michael McGrath and his family were gearing up to make a move cross country with U-Pack.  After packing and loading up their belongings, the McGraths were finally ready to hit the road.  During their drive from Texas to California, they decided to stop at the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, TX for a little sightseeing along the way.  After taking a few photos, the McGraths jumped back on the road and continued west.

Here's where it gets interesting.

Will Middlebrooks and his girlfriend were on a road trip this summer and also decided to check out the iconic Cadillac graveyard in Texas.  While there, Will discovered a digital camera's memory card lying on the ground.  Knowing that someone would be upset over the loss of captured memories, Will set out to find the owner of the photo card.

After checking a few pictures on the card (which included birthday parties and other family events), Will noticed the final shots were of an ABF U-Pack moving trailer.  Noting the number on the back of the trailer and the photo's timestamp, Will contacted U-Pack via email for help.  A quick search of information revealed the owner of the lost memory card— the McGraths! U-Pack passed Will Middlebrooks' contact information on to Michael McGrath, and the card was back to the rightful owner in no time.

"Returning the memories of birthdays, grandparents, and a big move across the country felt far more gratifying than returning a lost wallet or cell phone," Will explained.  "So kudos to (U-Pack Manager) AJ Jones and staff at U-Pack for doing the detective work!"

The McGrath family is grateful for the Good Samaritan that came across their special memories.  "It was truly a blessing to see how everything worked out.  It's not every day that you find someone like Will Middlebrooks!" said Michael.  "He was very diligent to go through the work of tracking us down."

Don't you just love a happy ending?
