How U-Pack figures trailer rates
Moving company costs are based on several variable factors, including the weight of the shipment, the type of equipment, and the distance. Quotes are customized for each move based on the space you use in the trailer, not the weight.

U-Pack trailers have 28 linear feet of space for belongings. We’ll provide a quote based on the size of your home, but you aren’t locked into it. You can use the whole trailer if needed (typically for a 3–4-bedroom home) or as little as the minimum of 5 linear feet (standard for a studio apartment).
You’ll only pay for the space you use. It’s easy to keep track of the price based on the per-foot rate listed on the reservation. For example, a reservation for 15 linear feet with a $200 per-foot rate means you’ll save $200 if you use only 14 feet and pay $200 more for 16 feet.
