You’ll find Tracy’s strategic location is great for a day trip, or a weekend away.  The city is located within a short drive to popular locations within California like Sacramento, and San Francisco, Bay Delta, Yosemite, and South Lake. But if you would rather stay in town, community events in the city of Tracy include the Tracy Dry Bean Festival, Fourth of July Day-In-the-Park, Movies in the Plaza, and Tracy Spring & Fall Wine Strolls. Tracy’s temperatures range from 90’s in the summer to 40’s during the winter months. Average rainfall for the year occurs in winter, so keep those umbrellas handy from November through February. Total yearly rainfall is 13.13 inches and falls mainly during January and February. You can put away those umbrellas during June, July and August with rainfall averaging only .16 inches for all three months! Sunshine is abundant for much of the year!

Shopping in Tracy is a treat with Downtown Tracy as a starting point! Arrive early to the Farmer’s Market on Wednesdays and buy some fresh California fruits and vegetables straight from the farmers who grow them.  Also available are homemade breads, flowers, soaps and more!  Farmer’s Market is open on Wednesdays from 4pm to 8pm, May through October in the Civic Center Plaza, Saturdays from 9am to 1pm on 10th Street between Central and B Streets.
