  • Additionally, Palmer is home to three private schools as well as Mat-Su College, which is a part of the University of Alaska Anchorage system.


  • Although driving is the preferred way to get around Palmer, the Matanuska-Susitna Borough offers public transportation to all the cities in the borough with Mat-Su Transit. Mat-Su Transit offers buses to major areas in Palmer as well as between Palmer and other nearby cities and is a convenient way to get to Anchorage
