U-Pack Moving Expert – Brittany G.

“Good morning. Thank you for calling U-Pack. This is Brittany. How may I help you?”

When you call U-Pack, you may get to speak with Brittany, a U-Pack service consultant on the Operations Team. While Brittany is all about making your move run smoothly, we thought you might like to know a little bit more about her.

Who is Brittany?

Brittany was born and raised in Van Buren, Arkansas – a small town just outside of Fort Smith (where the U-Pack home office is located). Her family, friends and co-workers – really, anyone who’s ever met her – would definitely describe her as energetic, friendly and adventurous. She graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 2007 as a double major in Early Childhood Education and Spanish. Yes - she’s bilingual! After graduation, she spent two years in Honduras teaching 3rd grade English. Then naturally, when it was time to come back to the states, she wanted to get a local teaching job. But it was summer break, and no one was hiring. Fortunately (for us), her friend Donna (who also works at U-Pack), told her that U-Pack was hiring Spanish-speaking consultants. Brittany applied for the job with the hopes of finding a teaching position in the future but loved what she was doing at U-Pack so much that she decided to make it her career.

“What I like about U-Pack is that it’s a really good service. I feel like we are providing a service people need and we’re doing it in a very professional way. But to be honest, the best part of this job is the people I work with. Because of them, I look forward to work every day.”

What does Brittany do at U-Pack?

Like I mentioned, Brittany is on the Operations Team. So basically, after you reserve your move, she takes over. She handles things like adjusting your moving date, adding your destination address, tracking your move, and answering your move-specific questions – if you need help before, during, or after your move, she’s your go-to. And if you call the U-Pack call center after your move is reserved, there’s a good chance you’ll get to talk with her (you’ll be glad you did).

While Brittany spends her time educating customers on the specifics of their U-Pack move, she’s learned some things as well. “The most valuable thing I’ve learned from working here is that integrity really makes a difference. That’s one of the core values of our company and it influences the way we treat customers and the way we treat each other. We try to be honest in everything we do and that carries over into my everyday regular life.”

What’s Brittany up to when she’s not working?

When she’s not at work, you can find her coaching her church’s Bible quizzing team, spending time with her nieces and nephews, reading, singing, playing musical instruments (she’s great on the saxophone), and playing softball and tennis. She’s also loves to travel! She’s been to Canada, Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Belize, and just got back from a 6 week trip to Samoa! That’s some serious globetrotting.
