Most of the state has beautiful weather. There are dry summers with coastal fog. In the winter, you will experience cooler temps and some rainfall. There are also WNBA, minor league baseball, North American League baseball, American Basketball Association, and East Coast Hockey League teams across the state.

Getting an Education in California

If one of your goals after moving to California is obtaining your degree, you will have no trouble! There are two-year and four-year private and public institutions. Depending on your field of study, you could take classes just about anywhere! California State University has campuses in many cities, including Bakersfield, Sacramento, LA, Fullerton, Fresno, and San Diego. The University of California system includes campuses in Berkeley, Davis, Irvine, and Santa Cruz, to name a few. There are private universities including religious institutions, art colleges, technical institutes, and culinary institutes.

If you are moving to California with kids, they will have great educational opportunities. California has over 5,700 elementary schools, 1,300 middle/ junior high schools, and 1,200 high schools around the state. And of course, there are private schools to choose from in many cities.
