I would warn military members of the following, but would recommend the service: Recommendation #1: Provide customers with original weight tickets upon payment. I would totally recommend ABF because of convenience, but the weight ticket issue for military movers is huge. I think the company dropped the ball on my move. I spoke with a woman at the office in Arkansas (Becky). She tried multiple times to get the problem fixed, but the tickets never happened until my items were delivered, two months later. ABF provides a great service, but the military weight ticket issue needs to be dealt with. Not to mention, I paid $150 for $12 worth of weight tickets that took two months to arrive. I understand that the weight tickets take time and gas, but they need to get done more efficiently. The origin office initially weighed my items using two different sized trucks, one with a sleeper, one without. Recommendation #2: Pro-rate storage based upon days. I believe the contract stated that there is no pro-rate policy, just entire month by month. This was not a problem for me, but I wanted you to know it caught my eye in the contract and seemed excessive. For example, does someone really have to pay $295 for five extra days of storage past the first month? They should be charged for what they use. Thank you for your delivery and storage service.
