Average snowfall amounts for the year total around 17 inches which mainly falls in January and February.  Average precipitation totals near 39 inches for the year and is very evenly distributed throughout the year.

Kettering Schools are within the Kettering School District and are comprised of eight elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school. The district was named a “Top 100” school district by Money Magazine in 1995. For a great quality education, Kettering delivers.

If your goal is higher education, Kettering offers Kettering College of Medical Arts where you can obtain your degrees for Nursing, Physician Assistant, Sonography, Health Sciences, Respiratory Care, Radiologic Sciences & Imaging, or Human Biology. Additionally, Kettering offers the School of Advertising Art, a private graphic design college.

Start out on a Saturday morning at the farmers market. If you’re looking for some local vegetables, fresh fruit, groceries, baked goods, visit the market on 2nd Street Market in Dayton, just 5 1/2 miles from Kettering.

Spend Saturday at The Greene with all your favorite shopping spots such as American Eagle Outfitters, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Bath & Body Works, The Children’s Place, Express, Eddie Bauer, Gap, Old Navy, and New York & Company. The Greene is located in Beavercreek, just a 9 mile drive from Kettering.
