The customer service at the 800#, and the people from the destination service center (Tucson, AZ) were GREAT. The Origin service center (West Allis, WI) was just OK. They always sounded like they were too busy to take the call, and were actually kind of crabby and unhelpul. The drivers and everybody were awesome though.

I was so impressed with the company processes all along the way up until I reached Tucson. I would not recommend ABF to anyone locally for certain, though, may for friends and family back in Ohio (so long as they are not coming to the Tucson area). I was treated very poorly by the Tucson Terminal staff. I was promised that the trailer could be removed the same day it was dropped off at the Storage area I rented (Public Self Storage) yet when I was speaking with the delivery driver he chuckled when I stated that Id only be a few hours and it could be picked up but that I would call when I was finished. Upon calling when I was finished I was treated and spoke to in a very unprofessional manner and was told that they would try to make it by 6pm (note: I called around 1pm to tell them I was finished.). When I called back at 4pm to see where I was on the schedule, since Id have to be present to let them in the gate I was given the brush-off and told that there was no way they could be there by 6pm because the had two other moves going on in town at the time. I expressed my concern to the Storage area personell and was treated with understanding and caring but was told that theyre policy (which I explained verbatim to the Tucson ABF Terminal personell) was in no way shape or form could the trailer stay at the storage area overnight and they would have to have it towed at ABFs expense. I attempted to contact the Phoenix terminal for assistance as well as the U-Pack division, however all personell that would hand that type of situation were gone for the day. I was finally contacted by the Tucson terminal and was told in a short clipped tone that their driver would be there at 5:45pm (knowing they only had until 6pm to have my ability to operate the gate.) They did finally show at 5:55pm but the driver was very rude and short with me.

Since ABF outsources some of the work, my cube was not picked up on the designated date after it had been emptied. I had one city official and one police officer threaten to give me a citation ticket for parking without a permit. My Cube permit was for 24 hours and the cube was picked up on the 3rd day after calling 3 times. Over all it was a wonderful experience; and will never use a uhall again! Thanks so much.

I was extremely impressed with the truck drivers. Both drivers at each end were very courteous. We werent quite loaded when the driver came to take the full truck, but he waited patiently telling us to take our time. We had been prepared for the worst.
