The Cajun Steamer is also no stranger to rave reviews—located on Main Street, the restaurant is said to have Tilapia and Shrimp Rockefeller “to die for” and “amazing” crawfish enchiladas. For a feel of south Louisiana, Steamer is your best bet serving authentic Cajun cuisine. Other local favorite restaurants include Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, Ginza Sushi and Korean Barbecue, The Egg & I Restaurant, Habaneros Mexican Grill and Baha Burger. Riverchase Galleria is also home to 15 fine restaurants including Bonefish Grill, J. Alexander’s and Olive Garden, to name a few.
Recreational Hoover. The aforementioned Riverchase Galleria is the ultimate source for shopping, premier dining and lodging for tourists or guests. The establishment provides a modern, unique shopping experience and offers over 200 exquisite shops and restaurants spread across 2 million square feet of real estate. Anchored by Sears, JC Penney, Belk and Macy’s, the Galleria offers many popular shops including Sephora, White House Black Market, Express, Banana Republic, Chico’s, Coach, Aldo and Bath & Body Works, to name a few! Hoover also offers several sports and community parks, summer theatres and recreation centers for any occasion. The Birmingham-Hoover Metro area is home to Talladega Superspeedway, the Birmingham Zoo and the Birmingham Museum of Art. The climate in Hoover. The climate in Hoover can be described as southern subtropical and is heavily influenced by the supply of warm moist air coming in from the Gulf of Mexico. The highest average temperature for the area occurs in August at 81 degrees. Winters are mild with the lowest average temperature in January at approximately 46 degrees.
