Mackey's Orchard, Belvidere, New Jersey
The Garden State, like much of the Mid Atlantic and New England, has many apple orchards. One may stand above the rest in New Jersey, and it is located in Belvidere, near the Pennsylvania border. Mackey's Orchard has more than 40 acres of orchard space, with approximately 100 different types of apples to choose from, according to Woman's Day. This spot gives you many different types of other activities you can enjoy with the family, as well, such as a miniature golf course and a greenhouse.

Tougas Family Farm, Northboro, Massachusetts
Heading north to Massachusetts will give you another spot that could be perfect of you like apple picking. Northboro, which is in between Worcester and Boston, is the home of the Tougas Family Farm. This prime picking desintation has more than 20 different kinds of apples that you can enjoy, depending on the time of year, according to USA Today. This is spread out through more than 30 acres of space, so you may have a better shot to find that perfect fruit. Another great facet of this farm is the fact that children can easily access the apples, so you won't have to pick them up.

Aamodt's Apple Farm, Stillwater, Minnesota
The Great Lakes Region is also a good spot for apple farms, and if you are in Minnesota, you may want to head to Stillwater. This is the home of Aamodt's Apple Farm, the home of 60 acres of apples to choose from, according to Woman's Day. There are close to a dozen different types of apples to choose from at this location, and there's plenty of other things to do once you have all the apples you can carry. Bring the kids on hay rides and through mazes while at the farm.

Silverman's Farm, Easton, Connecticut
If you are in Connecticut, it is likely you aren't far from a few different apple orchards. One that may be a good spot to bring the whole family is Silverman's Farm. Located in Easton, which is only about 30 minutes from New Haven, the farm has a unique setup. According to USA Today, it is located on a relatively steep hill, so you have to take a tractor in order to get to the fruit. This spot also has a petting zoo, which could be a nice thing to do with little ones afterward.

Johnson Orchards, Yakima, Washington
When in the Pacific Northwest, it may be a good idea to check out Yakima if you want to get some fresh apples. A good spot is Johnson Orchards, which has many different types of apples to choose from. According to Woman's Day, you can grab some of the most popular varieties, such as Golden Delicious and Red Delicious apples.
