The Lone Star State may be a location you are considering when relocating your moving boxes. This could be a great place for getting your items together, as you will be able to pick from a number of great cities and college towns. The state is the second largest in the country, and there are a number of places that may be good for those who want to experience life in the South around a number higher education institutions. Some of these areas are major cities, while others are more set up as concentrated college towns. Either way, if you find one you like, it may be a good idea to get a moving date with your moving company.

Austin
One of the most popular college towns in the country is located in Texas. Austin is the home of the flagship campus of the University of Texas, and it could be great whether someone wants to take classes at a lauded university, or just enjoy the lifestyle of the city. The city has many different activities both on and off the campus, and it also provides a vibrant music scene. This could make it an even better choice for those who want college life.

Dallas
Another city in Texas that is great for college life is Dallas. The city has some notable colleges, and this could make it more of an attractive option, overall. There are a number of higher education institutions in the state, including Southern Methodist University. That school is located in University Park, an area inside of Dallas city limits. It also is the home of the University of Texas at Dallas and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Houston
Heading east will bring you to Houston, which is the home of a number of colleges and universities. This city is where the University of Houston is located. There is also Texas Southern University, as well as other branch campuses of UH. Rice University is also a major private university located in the city. Having these schooling options close by may be great, as it can help improve your opinion of a city that already has plenty to keep you busy year-round.

College Station
While the city has a large amount of people, it may be one of the best examples of a college town in the country. College Station is the home of Texas A&M University, which is one of the biggest universities by population in the country. If you are looking for medical school or other science programs, then the Texas A&M Health Science Center may be worth checking out. It is one town over in Bryan.

Waco
Heading back to Central Texas will bring you to Waco, which is another city with a rich education culture. It is the home of Baylor University, which may be a great spot, not only for its education option and ability to live at or near a large school, but also its location. The city is situated less than two hours south of both Dallas and Fort Worth.

Denton
Located just north of Dallas and Fort Worth is Denton. This city is one of the larger cities in Texas, especially in its metro area. If you are considering moving here, it is likely because of one of its two collegiate options. The city is the home of two major places of higher education. One is the University of North Texas, while the other is Texas Woman's University. Don't let the name fool you, it is a coed institution.
