If you love hoops, then it is likely that you are considering an area that will have some great basketball teams. There are a number of different options around the country, and many of them may be exactly what you are looking for. Whether you like the college game, or prefer the National Basketball Association (NBA), there may be some perfect spots. So, if one of the following options seem like what you are looking for, then it may not be a bad idea to speak with your moving company to set up a date to transport your moving boxes.

New York
Starting off in the Big Apple may be a good plan. The city has a notable basketball history at all levels, and there are a number of teams from both the NBA and NCAA. If you are a pro fan, then you may want to head over to Madison Square Garden. Located in Manhattan, this is the home of the NBA's Knicks. However, if you end up in Brooklyn, then you could benefit from checking out the NBA's Nets, who play in the Barclays Center. There are a number of NCAA teams that play in the city. One of these is St. John's University, and the Red Storm plays in Madison Square Garden, while you can head to Staten Island and check out Wagner College. The Seahawks play in the Spiro Sports Center and are members of the Northeast Conference. St. John's is a member of the Big East Conference.

If you are going to the Ohio Valley, there are also a number of options available to you. Check out Indiana, and you won't be disappointed. The state is the home to a number of basketball teams, and you could really have fun checking out both NBA and NCAA teams. Much of this is centered around Indianapolis. The city is the home to the NBA's Pacers. The team plays at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. This isn't the only choice in the area, as there are multiple college teams. Butler University is here, and the Bulldogs play at Hinkle Fieldhouse. That school is a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference. There also is Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis. The Jaguars play at IUPUI Gymnasium, and are members of the Summit League. Indiana University isn't in the city, but it is only about 70 minutes from the city. If you head to Bloomington, you can see the Hoosiers play at Assembly Hall. They are members of the Big 10 Conference.

Los Angeles
The West Coast also has many options for those who love the game. The center of it all may be Los Angeles. It is the home of the NBA's Clippers and Lakers, and both teams play in the Staples Center. There also is a number of college options in the city. One of the most notable teams is the University of California, Los Angeles. The Bruins are members of the Pac-12 and play at Pauley Pavilion. Another collegiate option in the city is California State University Northridge, and its team, named the Matadors, play in the Matadome. CSU Northridge plays in the Big West Conference.

San Antonio
Texas is another state that loves its basketball. The state is vast, and has a number of teams and schools that play, but if you head to San Antonio, you may get the best of the bunch. The city is the home of the NBA's Spurs, and they play in the AT&T Center. For college options, you may want to check out the University of Texas at San Antonio. The Roadrunners are a member of the Western Athletic Conference and play at the Convocation Center.
