Seattle is a popular sports city.

If your heart is set on moving to the Pacific Northwest, you may want to take a few areas into consideration if you are a big sports fan. There are plenty of places to check out great food and nice weather in the region, but one of the many cities there may have the perfect sports formula for you. Whether you like professional sports, college sports or a mix of the two, it may not be a bad idea to bring your moving containers to one of these cities. So, contact your moving company and get to packing.

Eugene, Oregon
Oregon has plenty of sports options that could be good fits when trying to figure out what city to live in, but if you are a fan of college sports, you may want to consider Eugene. The college town is the home of the University of Oregon, and the Ducks play NCAA Division I sports in the Pacific-12 conference. Whether you want to check out Autzen Stadium, the home of Ducks football, or the Matthew Knight Arena, home to basketball in the area, you will have something to watch most of the year.

Seattle
If a bigger city is something that you desire, then it may be a good plan to head north. Seattle is a famous city, and it is full of professional sports teams. The National Football League's Seahawks play at CenturyLink Field. The field is also shared by the Sounders of Major League Soccer (MLS). If baseball is more of your thing, then you may want to check out Safeco Field, the home of Major League Baseball's Mariners. The city is also the home of the University of Washington, and the Huskies also play NCAA Division I sports. The school participates in the Pacific-12 Conference, and the football team plays in Husky Stadium. The basketball team plays in the Hec Edmundson Pavilion.

Portland
Another sizable city in the region is Portland, and there is also plenty to do here for sports fans. The Trailblazers of the National Basketball Association play in the city, and this is the state's only professional basketball team. It is also the home of the Timbers, a member of MLS. There are two schools in the city that play NCAA Division I sports. The Portland Pilots are in the West Coast Conference, while the Portland State Vikings are in the Big Sky Conference.

Corvallis, Oregon
Another college town that could be quite enjoyable is located in Oregon. The city of Corvallis is the home of Oregon State University. Here, you can watch the Beavers play in a slew of NCAA Division I sports. OSU participates in the Pacific-12 Conference. The football team plays in Reser Stadium, while the basketball team calls Gill Coliseum home. The Beavers have a fierce rivalry with the University of Oregon, so it may be wise to pick the right side in what the state calls the "Civil War."

Spokane, Washington
There is another city in Washington that could be a great fit for those who love college sports. Spokane is the home of Gonzaga University, which has one of the more recently successful NCAA Division I basketball teams in the country. The school is a member of the West Coast Conference, and the basketball team plays in the McCarthey Athletic Center. This isn't the only show in town, as there are multiple minor league teams here, as well. The Shock are a member of the Arena Football League and play in the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena, which it shares with the Western Hockey League's Chiefs.
