Yellowstone National Park is one of the more popular parks in the country.

If you are someone who likes the outdoors, and you live to check out interesting new terrain, then it is likely you would enjoy living near one of the largest national park in the country. This can give you an ability to explore some of the most beautiful and scenic areas around. Even if you prefer city life, you can still grab your moving boxes and travel to a metro area, while still getting to enjoy the outdoors on the side.

Death Valley
The Continental United States has plenty of national parks, and all of them are unique in their own way. For those who like desert climates, heading to the Southwest may be a good idea. This area is the home to Death Valley National Park, which is one of the largest parks in the country. The dry climate allows for many activities, including hiking, camping and examining the wildlife, according to the National Park Service. Areas such as Los Angeles and Las Vegas may be good places to relocate in order to easily access the area.

The Rocky Mountains also has an interesting landscape, and this one of the best places to discover what the region has to offer is to visit one of the many national parks in the area. One of the most famous of these is Yellowstone National Park. The park stretches across three states - Wyoming, Idaho and Montana - giving you many options to explore the area. Fishing is popular in the park, as is boating and other water-based activities, the government agency explained. Like Death Valley, you can also camp in multiple places. If you want to check out a city nearby, Billings, Montana, or Idaho Falls, Idaho, may be good places to start.

South Florida is the home of beaches as well as swampland. If the latter is more of your thing, then you may need to check out Everglades National Park. The area spreads across much of the southern tip of the Florida peninsula, and this area can give you a very different feel for natural surroundings than the other areas. The humid, wet climate is great for viewing plant life, as well as fishing, NPS noted. Airboats are also popular ways to get around the swampy areas, and could be an interesting change of pace. If you want to live in a nearby city, then Miami is likely your best bet.

Grand Canyon
Another area of the Southwest may be a great place to check out natural rock formations and breathtaking views is in Arizona. The state is the home to Grand Canyon National Park. The area has plenty of places for sightseeing, and many guided tours are available, according to the organization. Hiking and camping are also popular activities in the park. When looking for a place that isn't far away from the park, telling your moving company to bring your belongings to either Las Vegas or Flagstaff, Arizona, may be a good plan.

Glacier National Park
Up near the Canadian border lies a large wildlife area that could be a great place for adventurous types. Glacier National Park, located in Montana, could be exactly what you are looking for if you like cold areas with vast lakes and sizable mountains. Hiking is a popular in the area, and you may see some rare wildlife while doing it. Mountain goats are a staple in parts of the park, NPS added. If you are looking for a place to live that can get you easy access to the park, then Helena or Missoula may be the right locations.
