Plenty of spots around the United States look pretty during the spring season. However, there are some specific areas throughout the country that may give you a whole new view of flowers in the spring. If one of the following places sounds like a place you would like to move to or visit, checking with your moving company may be a good spot. Whether you get packing and move to a nearby city, or relocate to the area itself, there could be plenty of places that will catch your eye.

Mojave Desert
While you may not move here, there are plenty of place you can call home around the Mojave Desert in southern California. This area is known for its vibrant plant life, especially in the spring. Poppies are what cover the land here, and the orange variety is the state flower of California. The Huffington Post noted that the perfect destination for lovers of flora is the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve, which has 1,745 acres. This spot also has a lengthy hiking area - nearly seven miles in all - and this could be a good alternative weekend activity.

Major cities also have plenty to offer when it comes to flora. While many places specialize in having specific parks that are beautified at this time of year, Philadelphia offers something many areas don't. It is the home to the Philadelphia International Flower Show. This usually takes place in the spring, and could be a great place to see multiple types of flowers. IndependentTraveler.com notes the show has multiple aspects ranging from busy floral arrangements, as well as complete gardens. It takes place in the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Washington, D.C.
The nation's capital may be a great city for many reasons, and one of these is the large variety of plant life. Washington, D.C., is a top choice for seeking out pretty spring flowers. While many different types of flowers may grow here, people travel to the city specifically to see the Cherry Blossoms. These trees, which number in the thousands, are along the Potomac River and Washington Monument, the Huffington Post explained. The trees were donated from the mayor of Tokyo more than 100 years ago, and the event is celebrated on an annual basis in the country. If you want to check out the festivities, being in the district for the springtime Cherry Blossom Festival is best.

Yellowstone National Park
One area that doesn't run short of beautiful varieties of flowers during the spring is Yellowstone National Park. It is filled with plenty of flowers across the vast space. IndependentTraveler.com explains that there are numerous wildflowers here such as irises, ladies' tresses and shooting stars. While you may want to get there in the spring to see everything begin to bloom, the park typically has a later flower peak than some of the other areas in this list. Flower lovers can take advantage of the park's guided tours that are dedicated solely to flowers.

While there are great flower sites throughout most of Texas, you may want to start your quest in Austin. The city's surrounding area is home to the state's official flower, and the Bluebonnet is everywhere. The Huffington Post noted that there are many fields that have these flowers, and the Bluebonnet Trail is the place to see them. Driving on highways can be a great place to see how common these flowers are in the Lone Star State. There are also many farms that grow the plants that you can visit.
