Tim Tebow was recently rated by Americans as the most desirable celebrity neighbor.
Zillow's fifth annual Celebrity Neighbor Survey recently revealed statistics about Americans' desires and preferences if they were to live next to a celebrity.
According to the survey, more than 40 percent of Americans would pass on living next to a celebrity neighbor and would consider packing up and moving if the wrong person lived next to them.
The most desirable celebrity neighbor for 2012 was Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow. His popularity was two times greater among males compared to women.
"As a voyeuristic culture that breathlessly tracks every celebrity movement, it's extremely surprising to see so many Americans saying they wouldn't like to live next to any celebrity at all," said Amy Bohutinsky, chief marketing officer for Zillow. "In fact, more people opted out of a celebrity neighbor in 2012 than in any of the past years we've run this poll. We may want to watch, read and talk about celebrities, but when it comes to sharing a back fence, many Americans think it's just too close for comfort."
Celebrity couples Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux were the second and third most desirable neighbors, respectively.
Voted as the worst neighbors of the year were the cast of MTV's reality show "Jersey Shore," coming ahead of actor Charlie Sheen.
With mortgage rates continuing to decline, living next to a celebrity might be more affordable than once thought by the average American.
