PGA golfer Fred Couples recently placed his La Quinta, California, home on the market for about $4.2 million, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The mansion, which sits on nearly a half-acre, is a Spanish-style villa with a fountain in the courtyard, in addition to mountain views, a swimming pool and a fire pit, the Times reported. The 5,200-square-foot estate, which is being sold fully furnished, has four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, with a wine room and two master suites. Amenities of the estate include two fitness centers and a private golf course, which was designed by Tom Fazio.
The 52-year-old professional golfer used the house as a retreat where he could relax after golfing season, but is packing
up and selling because he plans to build a custom home in the same development, according to the news source.
Couples reportedly purchased the property in 2009 for about $3 million, the Times stated, citing public records.
Couples has been in the PGA for close to 30 years and won the Masters in 1992 and the Senior Players Championship in 2011.
Couples is one of many celebrities to place his house on the market recently, following David Schwimmer, Jeniffer Aniston and Amar'e Stoudemire.
