The former home of late talk show host Ed McMahon was recently sold.

The home of late entertainer Ed McMahon, which he fought to keep from foreclosure in 2008, is likely to have moving trucks outside of the residence after it recently sold for $3.475 million.

The Beverly Hills Post Office-area home had six offers after being listed in November and was recently closed on after being in escrow for 10 days.

The mansion has more than 7,000 square feet and was purchased by McMahon in 1990 for $2.6 million. The house, which was built in 1989, has six bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. It sits on one-third of an acre with a swimming pool and dining pavilion.

In 2006, the contemporary Mediterranean home was placed on the market for about $7.7 million. In the next several years, the mansion was taken off and placed back on the market with lower prices. In 2008, McMahon, who was suffering from health issues, defaulted on $4.8 million in mortgages and died in 2009 at the age of 86.

The property sold at foreclosure to a group of investors in 2010 for $3.95 million. The investors remodeled the home and listed it in November for $3.475 million.

McMahon was a comedian, game show and talk show host. He was famous for his role on "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson" and appeared in more than 30 movies and TV shows before his death.
