When Jeff Pedelty decided to move from one home to another, he decided a moving truck was completely unnecessary, according to real estate website ThePeloton.com. All this person needed was his bicycle and a moving trailer.
Pedelty and a group of cyclist friends hitched moving trailers to the back of their bikes and transported all of his belongings to the new residence, ThePeloton.com said. The group successfully moved a television, bed, and cabinets among other items 3.7 miles. Pedelty's move was recorded by a videographer, and the documentary will be shown at the Boulder Film Festival on Bike to Work Day.
Pedelty moved to a Boulder community that focuses on sustainable living, the real estate website said.
Boulder has built quite the reputation as a environmentally-friendly city. The city uses smart grid technology in a large number of homes that allows consumers to monitor and control their energy consumption, ABC news said.
