Boston is the number one city for young Latinos according to mun2.

Despite having the lowest percentage of Latino residents of all the cities on the list, Boston topped the recent top 15 cities for young Latinos rankings compiled by bilingual television network mun2.

Mun2, which broadcasts reality shows and dramas aimed at a youth demographic, considered the proportion of young singles, housing affordability, average salary and level of education to create its list of hot relocation destinations for Latinos between 18 and 34 years old.

Latinos should consider moving to Boston because its many colleges and universities means a high proportion of well-educated singles, according to mun2. Though only 17.5 percent of Beantown's population is Latino, its overall diversity works in its favor, as does its low unemployment rate of 6.6 percent.

New York City was the only other Northeast location on the list, which was dominated by Texas. Austin (2), Dallas (7), Houston (11), San Antonio (13) and El Paso (14) all made the cut.

Some of these Texas towns, such as Austin and Houston, are perennial contenders on "best places" lists due to plentiful jobs and eclectic cultural offerings. Given its proximity to the drug gang violence afflicting Juarez, El Paso might be a surprise. But Housing Predictor recently named it number one on its Best Markets Forecast, thanks to a growing military presence and steady economic growth.
