Now's the time to buy, according to Gallup survey.

Consumers and house hunters that factor consumer confidence into their decision for when to buy a home will want to pay attention to a recent poll.

According to a Gallup survey, 67 percent of respondents said they believed now is a good time to buy a house, with 30 percent saying it's a bad time. This is the highest percentage of people saying now is the time to buy since early 2010, when 72 percent thought it was a good time to buy or move into a home.

Gallup says the positive view likely stems from the assortment of factors indicating now to be a good time to get into the housing market, like historically low interest rates and ever-declining home values. Speaking of home values, in the same poll, 27 percent expect home values will continue falling in their area. Twenty-one percent expect home values to increase.

Over the past two weeks, a wealth of studies from real estate organizations like RealtyTrac, Zillow, the National Association of Home Builders and ZipRealty have all had findings suggestive of a buyer's market. Nevertheless, home sales in some localities - like Nevada - continue to languish.
