California may be a great moving destination for those looking long-term.
Planning a short-term move could be easy, but if you are looking for a more long-term destination, this takes a significant amount of planning well before packing up all of your boxes. A report from Gallup showed that there are some long-term destinations that may be attractive options.
You may want to get packing and head over to the West North Central area of the United States, as this area has the most stable outlook out of the entire country, according to Gallup's "Where You'll Want to Live in 2032." This area, which includes Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska and Minnesota, has a solid outlook for jobs security, strong gross domestic product growth. Also, when thinking about the environment, these areas can potentially give you clean water and plenty of it.
This is only some of the good options for you, so if you aren't set on this part of the country, there are other options. The report noted that the Mountain Region, which ranges from Arizona all the way to Montana, is likely to have some of the healthiest people in the country. Obesity rates are very low in these areas, and exercise facilities are widely available.
Do you prefer the ocean while still living in a healthy area? The Pacific came in third in Gallup's ratings. The area that spans from Alaska to California and includes Hawaii has the lowest rate of smokers in the country, and also has some of the most knowledge-hungry people in the nation.
There are pros and cons to every part of the nation, so don't think that your dream destination won't be able to work if it wasn't in that group. Take your time with your decision, and when you are ready to make the move, get packing and contact your moving company.
