I think the term “one-way moving” is funny. I mean, one-way flights might be rare, but I imagine that most moves are one-way. I mean honestly, who packs up their whole house to move it across the country then turns right around and moves it back? Is there round-trip moving in comparison? (If that has happened to you, my heart goes out to you). Despite all that, because of the truck rental industry, people are familiar with the phrase “one-way moving,” as one-way truck rental is a popular option. If you’re looking at one-way moves and want to find the lowest prices, I have GREAT news for you!

Here’s something I know for certain: moving state to state is a BIG deal. If you go about it the right way, it can turn out great! If you don’t, it certainly has the potential to put a big dent in your bank account. The last thing you want to do is pay too much, so if saving money is at the top of your “things to do” list, you’re on the right track.
No one wants to spend tons of money on their move.

My parents have lived in the same four-bedroom house for almost 20 years. Besides all the furnishings, they have accumulated plenty of stuff. They’re planning to retire and move soon, but they’ll have to move all of that stuff. (I have to admit, I’m kind of glad it’s them and not me). Since I work for a moving service, my mom has asked this question more than once: “How much does it cost to move a four-bedroom house?” If you’re in the same situation, and asking the same question, my answer to you is exactly the same as the answer I gave her: Get a moving quote!

That could be the case if you’re moving in-town, or even in-state. But when you’re moving long distance, you may want to do a little more research. Here are a few things to consider when you’re looking at truck rental prices:
