The most important thing you can do before looking at your long distance moving options is to set a moving budget. As you go through the moving process, you’ll see that expenses can quickly add up. Having a moving budget in place will help you to be in control of your move, instead of the other way around!

It’s a huge benefit to have a moving company with service nationwide. Not only will your moving company be aware of the laws and regulations in both your origin and destination states, but if you have a problem, you have local people there to help you. With this in mind, you are smart to be searching for nationwide moving companies to make your move easier.

I love self-service. The self-checkout line at the grocery store? I’m there. The line is shorter and I can bag my groceries the way I want. I love the self-service car wash too. It is fun to soap up my SUV, and I can pay special attention to the extra-grimy spots. Self-service moving is pretty awesome, too. I mean, you can take extra care with your stuff, and you can save big by doing the work yourself! Let me explain the types of self-service moving, along with some of the perks of self-service moving.

In a non-binding referendum on Tuesday, Puerto Ricans showed interest in changing the island’s status from a U.S. territory to a U.S. state. In the vote, Puerto Ricans were asked two questions.
The first question asked if Puerto Rico should keep its current status as a self-governing commonwealth. The commonwealth allows Puerto Ricans living on the islands to be U.S. citizens, but they cannot vote for president. They are, however, represented by a non-voting delegate in the House of Representatives.
54% (922,374 people) said they would like the change to occur, while 46% (786,749 people) said they wanted to keep the status quo.

Are you constantly stressed out? You are not alone! According to a 2011 survey by the American Psychological Association, 22% of Americans reported “extreme” stress. And if you’re moving soon, I’m sorry to say that moving is listed at the top of the list of life’s most stressful events (along with marriage, divorce, and the death of a loved one). On a daily scale, the leading factors of stress are money, work, and the economy (job stability)—things I’m sure we’re all very familiar with.
