This has got to be the one question I hear most often. Probably the most correct answer is: It Depends.
There is not a mold in which you can fit every person who moves a 3 bedroom home. But there are ways that you can be very accurate with your estimates.
Have you moved in the past?

How do you let everyone know your new address?
You're moving. Almost everyone knows you are moving to a new city, but more than likely you haven't had a chance to tell them your actual new address. Besides formally changing your address at the Post Office, you probably want to tell your friends and family both near and far what your new address will be.
Did you know U-Pack has a solution for this too?

Just in case you didn't know, U-Pack cannot move your pet. It's not because we don't love them; our trailers aren't climate controlled so it's not a safe environment for them. During the summer months the trailers can get very warm inside and during the winter months they can be very cold. Not ideal conditions for your four-legged or winged companion.

Many years ago (before U-Pack) my husband, my young daughter, and I made a move. We were young and financially challenged and I was VERY pregnant. We couldnt afford a full service mover and really we didnt have enough stuff to justify a full service mover. Normally, when we were moving across town, we just borrowed someones truck and made several trips.

U-Pack is a great option for moving large shipments, but what if you're not moving an entire household? What if your child is going to college out of state or you just have personal items to send? What if you downsized? What if you just plain don't have parking for a 28 foot moving trailer in front of your home? Well, we have an answer! ABF also offers moves inside a ReloCube if any of these situations fit you. Our ReloCubes are 6'x7'x8' and can fit into a single parking spac

Timing is Everything
If you've been researching your move, you've probably found that the moving industry runs on a system of "peak" and "off-peak" days, similar to the airline industry. That just means that some days are more expensive than others. If you've got some flexibility, choose an off-peak moving day to save a little money.

The term 'Self-Move' pretty much explains what a self-move is. Basically, it's a move that you do yourself, right? Well yes, but there are different types of self-moves.

I know I'm going; I'm just not sure where yet.
I mean really, the "where" of moving is just details
right? But actually, whether you know which city you're moving to and just haven't closed on a house or literally don't know which city you are moving to, you're going to need storage. It's a good idea to check with all of the moving companies you're considering to see how they handle moving and storage – it could end up getting pretty expensive.

Save $200 off your U-Pack Move!
What's the catch?
You just have to prove that you are a master packer and get the highest score on our U-Pack-A-Cube game!
Oh, you've never played it? Well go give it a shot.
I know it sounds silly, but it really is rather addicting. And since it only takes 60 seconds, there is absolutely no commitment involved. My highest score so far is 210, and I was pretty proud of that until one of my coworkers posted a score of 225! I obviously can't win the prize, but it's still entertaining.
