What to do at the end of your move

U-Pack offers a variety of moving services, including cross-country moves, military moves and student moves. No matter what category you fall into, the tips in this video from 2011 can help you know what to do once your shipment is loaded!

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT:

Be sure to call once your shipment is loaded. You must notify the local service center that you're ready for pickup. On trailer moves, double check the amount of space you've used on the trailer before the driver arrives. Then write the footage on the bill of lading. The bill of lading is your contract to move your goods. The driver who picks up the trailer will also check to see how much space you've used.

If you are unable to be present at the time of pickup, please advise the local U-Pack Service Center. If you leave the truck locked, you should advise the local dispatcher of the key location or lock combination.

You'll need the contract number on the bill of lading any time you inquire about your shipment so always keep it handy. And remember you can easily track the progress of your goods online or by phone.

Our coordinators are available Monday through Friday from 7:00am - 8:00pm Central time.
