For school-age children, the Midland Independent School District offers 35 campuses and nearly 22,000 students.

If arts, culture and museums peak your interest, check out a performance by the Midland-Odessa Symphony & Chorale, the Cole Theatre, the Festival Ballet or exhibits at the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum and the American Airpower Heritage Museum.  If the great outdoors are more your speed, check out the Sibley Nature Center, Big Spring State Park (40 miles east of Midland), and Carlsbad Caverns (150 miles west of Midland).  If your idea of a great evening is dining and dancing, try Club Arriba or enjoy the upscale environment and piano music at Cigar Frog’s Piano Bar.
