U-Pack was the way to go for us. With a 3,200 sq ft home and 3-car garage, we needed two 28' trailers. They dropped off on a Tuesday, movers came on Thursday, then U-Pack picked up the following Tuesday giving us plenty of time to load. With the guarantee delivery time (two days within pick up) this allowed us time to drive our own vehicles to our destination. Trailers arrived on time, then the next day our movers unloaded, and believe it or not, that same afternoon U-Pack picked up the trail...  See Moreers and we were done! This was so easy and really set our minds at easy. It was expensive, but for us it was worth it. Staff and drivers were kind and professional. Throughout stayed in contacted and never left you guessing. Very efficient process and high recommend.

Like most people, I dread and loathe moving. It's such a hassle and one of the most stressful events in a person's life (which is why those of us who do it so often, really hate it). I heard about UPack from a blog on moving and I am so glad I went with them. You won't find a cheaper way to move across the country unless you drive your own truck or get rid of everything. A bonus is that you only pay for what you use of the trailer. That means, if you over or underestimate your size of move, ...  See Moreyou only pay for what you use. We had estimated I would need 7 feet and I actually needed 10 (the trailers are different than moving trucks, so think of it as I had almost filled a 22' moving truck). There was no issue as your stuff goes in first, then the trailer is packed for a freight haul and brought to either the next depot or your location, the right is removed and your possessions can be picked up. It's cheaper to do depot-depot. Also, making a reservation online saves you $25. I used UPack of Manassas, Virginia, at ABF Transport. They were very nice and the trailer was clean. I was told it would go out that Friday afternoon and arrive by the upcoming Wednesday. It arrived Tuesday and other than one broken casserole dish (due to the mover of the local company who dropped the box), everything was in same condition as we had packed it. The ABF Transport in Williston, VT, was equally as nice and helpful. I can't emphasize enough how much I preferred this service to other moves I have had, some of which have been almost twice as expensive.

Two trailers and one medium rental truck is so much better than 4 or more rental truck trips. I would have driven for four days straight for over 1800 miles in addition to loading and unloading. With U-Pack, Old Dominion parked a semi trailer in my driveway(The driver did such a wonderful job of maneuvering the trailer into just the right position), and we loaded it in two days. We left for our new home on Sunday, driving a full day in the rental truck. Monday, we unloaded that smaller truck, and the next day, the first trailer arrived for unloading. When we finished the job the next morning, the second trailer arrived, and we unloaded it. The good news: we spent so much less time driving, The bad news: we had all that added time to unload (actually good news also).
