After researching similar moving options (PODs, Uhaul, Penske, Atlas) I settled with U-Pack. Boy, am I glad I did! From the outset, recommendations between containers and trailer space were professional and spot on. I reserved 20 feet in the 28 foot trailer and used only 18 feet and they only charged for the 18 feet. Great service from Portland Maine terminal, as a former employee of ABF, recommended the service but this was my first time actually using it, went great, trlr arr on time and I had no damage, thanks for the extra load bars to support the bulkhead as one of the bars did not lock, delivering terminal folks were also great. Thank you.
We just used U-Pack to move from California to Arizona and I could not be happier with their service. The dispatcher in CA was very friendly and professional, as well as the one in AZ. The pods were delivered/picked up during the time frames we were given, the U-Pack pod arrived in AZ before us and was held until we arrived at no extra cost. I highly recommend U-Pack. Just remember, YOU are responsible for loading your pod and making sure everything is secure inside. We packed ours tightly and still need another one for stuff that we left in CA with family.
I had a great experience with U Pack. Customer Service was exceptional, drivers were fantastic.I was pleasantly surprised at how efficient and well run this company operates. I would not hesitate utilizing U Packs services again if needed. Kudos and thanks to all the Team members.
We had ups and downs with our experience with U-Pack moving from Wisconsin to Arizona. We scheduled it more than a month in advance as our truck needed to be at our new house by the 29th. The day the truck was to be delivered between 12-4, it never came and we had to call U-Pack. They said they were behind, but no one contacted us and our movers were going to be at our house at 8am the next day! The truck was delivered at 8pm after they found someone who could deliver it. When I called to schedule delivery, the woman told me they were transferring it to another company and I had to call them. I called the other company and they couldn't schedule it until U-Pack passed it to them. She said the next day. I called again and she said they hadn't received it from U-Pack. I called U-Pack again and it turns out we had a balance on our account and they wouldn't deliver it until it was paid! No one ever mentioned this to us! I paid it immediately and they said they would send the truck over to the deliver company. The truck made it to our new house at 4pm on the 29th, but that was because everyone made an extra effort, which we appreciated. We also had a terrific delivery guy who did an amazing job of getting the truck into our tricky driveway.
