Culture. Make sure that you don’t miss ArtPrize, the world’s largest art competition that happens right here in Grand Rapids! The art is displayed within three square miles of downtown Grand Rapids, and the public decides the winner! There are plenty of museums in the area, including a children’s museum. Be sure to visit the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum. John Ball Zoo is home to more than 1,100 animals from five continents! There’s even a 4-story, 300 ft. “fly” over the zoo with a zip line!

Education. K-12 public education is provided by the Grand Rapids Public Schools. There are a lot of charter schools, too. Grand Rapids has the oldest co-educational Catholic High School in the United States, so if you’re looking for a private education you have options. For those seeking a degree, Grand Rapids has several college and universities to choose from.
