Free Meals, Discounts, and Perks for Veterans Day 2012

Veterans Day 2012 is Sunday, November 11. In honor of their service, many businesses offer free or discounted meals to veterans and active duty members. Here are some of the deals we have found. If you aren’t in the military, check out the bottom of the post for some offers for civilians, as well as ways you can give back this Veterans Day.

Free Meals and More- Veterans Day 2012

Veterans Day Promotions for Sunday, November 11- Free Meals, Discounts, and More!

  • Applebee’s and Chili’s are offering a free meal on Sunday, November 11 to veterans and active servicemembers (beverage and gratuity not included). Military ID or proof of service required.
  • Bar Louie is offering a free meal and free non-alcoholic beverage with military ID or proof of service on November 11.
  • Famous Dave’s is offering free or discounted meals on Sunday, November 11, 2012.
  • Hooter’s is giving 10 free wings with a drink purchase to active duty and military veterans with a valid military ID or proof of service on Nov 11.
  • On the Border will give a certificate for a free entrée (valid 11/12/2012 to 11/30/2012) to all veterans and service members who dine with them on November 11.
  • Max & Erma’s are offering military members and veterans a Free Best Cheeseburger in America combo on November 11.
  • Red Lobster is giving free appetizers with military ID or proof of service on Nov. 11.
  • The Olive Garden is giving one free entrée on November 11 to veterans and active duty military. Entrée includes soup or salad, and breadsticks.
  • Military members (active duty, retirees, and veterans) can enjoy a free donut at Krispy Kreme on Nov. 11.
  • From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on November 11, current and former military members can enjoy a free car wash from 7-Eleven with military ID or proof of service.

Veterans Day Promotions for November 11 and 12

  • Veterans and active duty members can get a free Bloomin’ Onion and Coca-Cola product at Outback Nov. 11-12. And Outback is also giving 10% off your meal Nov. 13- Dec. 31.

Free Meals for Veterans Day on November 12

  • Red Robin is feeding guests with a military ID or proof of service on Nov. 12 by offering a free Red’s Tavern Double and bottomless steak fries.
  • Texas Roadhouse has free lunch on November 12 for armed forces members with military ID. They are offering a choice of 10 meals, plus sides and a drink.
  • Denny’s contribution is all-you-can-eat pancackes from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 12 for all active, retirees, and veterans with a valid military ID or proof of service.
  • Golden Corral is hosting Golden Corral Military Appreciation Monday (on Nov. 12) with a free dinner to active duty, retired, and veteran military members.
  • On Monday, November 12, Little Caesars Pizza is giving free Crazy Bread® with proof of military status or proof of service.
  • LoneStar Steakhouse is giving free appetizers for military members and veterans with ID on November 12.
  • T.G.I. Friday’s is providing free lunches on November 12. You must wear uniform or present military ID or proof of service.

Veterans Day Free Meals and Promotions for Everyone

If you are not a service member or Veteran, you can pitch in by eating at On the Border. If you mention their “Sizzling Salute to Veterans” promotion when dining there on November 11, they will donate 15% of your purchase to Carry the Load, a non-profit military organization. Spaghetti Warehouse is offering customers savings on Nov. 12 with a buy-one-get-one promotion with this coupon. This coupon is in honor of Veteran’s Day, but is open to everyone.

Other Veterans Day Promotions for Veterans and Active Duty

  • Home Depot is giving all active duty, reservists, retired military, veterans, and their families 10% off in honor of Veterans Day. This offer is good for most military holidays as well.
  • Lowe’s is offering a 10% discount from Nov. 7-11 on purchases of in-stock and special purchase items up to $5,000. Individuals must present military ID or proof of service.
  • Colonial Williamsburg offers free weekend-long admission tickets to military members, veterans, and their immediate dependents from Nov. 9-12.
  • Knott’s Berry Farms is offering veterans and current serving military personnel and one guest free admission from Nov. 1-21.
  • Cabela’s is giving discounts to all US military, active duty, law enforcement, fire, and EMS personnel on Nov. 10-11 (varies by location).
  • On Veterans Day (Nov. 11), Dollar General is giving veterans 10% off your entire purchase.

Free Fee Day- For Everyone!

In honor of Veterans Day, the National Park Service is waiving fees for Veterans Day weekend. Over 100 national parks are participating.
