 ## Texas Remained popular for inbound moves in 2009

For the third year in a row, the U-Pack [2009 moving trends report](https://www.upack.com/sites/www/files/2020-03/MovingTrendsReport.2009.pdf) showed that more people moved to Texas than any other state. What other trends did we find? Check out the notable findings below and read the entire report for details:

- Texas had the most cities on the list of top destinations for long-distance moves: Beaumont, Waco, Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Wichita Falls and Corpus Christi
- February was the least popular month for moves, with June being most popular
- Norfolk, VA; Green Bay, WI; and St. Louis, MO all had balanced percentages of inbound and outbound moves
