Be sure to call once your shipment is loaded. You must notify the local ABF Service Center that you're ready for pickup. On trailer moves, double check the amount of space you've used on the trailer before the driver arrives. Then write the footage on the bill of lading. The bill of lading is your contract with ABF to move your goods. The driver who picks up the trailer will also check to see how much space you've used.
If you are unable to be present at the time of pickup, please advise the local ABF U-Pack Service Center. If you leave the truck locked, you should advise the local dispatcher of the key location or lock combination.
You'll need the contract number on the bill of lading any time you inquire about your shipment so always keep it handy. And remember you can easily track the progress of your goods online or by phone.
