Tony Danza sells Malibu home

Actor Tony Danza recently sold his Malibu beach home for slightly less than the asking price.

Danza, who's appeared on TV shows such as "Who's the Boss" and "Taxi," and the Broadway show "The Producers," listed the home for $9.1 million in July and sold it recently for $8 million, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Public records show the 60-year-old actor purchased the home in 1987 for $1.15 million, the Times reported.

The main house was built in 1949 with three bedrooms and two bathrooms and sits on 50 feet of beachfront land, according to the source. The entire second floor of the property features a master suite with a sitting area, fireplace and deck.

It's likely moving trucks will soon be pulling up to the expansive home, which according to the Times also features two guest suites that are separate from the main house, totaling 3,000 square feet for the entire property.

Recently, Danza starred in a reality TV series called "Teach: Tony Danza," in which cameras followed him as a high school teacher at Philadelphia's Northeast High School.

The average price for a property in Malibu is just over $1.5 million, according to Zillow.com.
