The company will move into an existing research and development and manufacturing facility where it's held offices since it acquired CASTion Corp. in 2007. ThermoEnergy also will acquire 28,000 square feet of additional space to support the manufacturing phase of its $27 million contract with the city of New York to deploy an ammonia recovery system at its 26th Ward Wastewater Treatment Plant.
"We are excited that this dynamic company has decided to move their headquarters to our great city and be part of our growing green economy," Worcester Mayor Joseph O'Brien said in a statement. "Worcester is striving to become a model green and sustainable community, and we are grateful that ThermoEnergy will be a part of this movement here in Worcester."
For the week ending September 28, the average listing price for homes in Worcester was about $199,000, unchanged from the week before, according to Trulia. The median sales price from June to August 2011 was $150,000, down 5.4 percent from the same period last year.
