A recent study revolving around the education levels of residents from the 200 largest metropolitan cities in America was recently completed by Portfolio.com
, which named Boulder, Colorado as the city with the strongest brainpower.
In addition to being the city with the most brainpower, Boulder is home to the most well-educated population, with five out of six adults having went to college. In addition, the city holds the designation of having the highest percentage of residents to earn a master’s or a graduate degree, according to the study.
Ann Arbor, Michigan; Washington, D.C.; Durham, North Carolina and Fort Collins, Colorado rounded out the top five smartest cities, according to the study.

Homebuyers who desire an affluent city with a premiere educational and economic culture may want to consider moving to a home located in one of the cities on this list. When compared to September 2009, homes prices fell by 0.67 percent in September 2010 in the Boulder market, but the city’s market continues to outperform the rest of Colorado, according to the CoreLogic Home Price Index.
