The cost? A cool $18,000 per month.

According to Realtor.com, the 3,200-square-foot Hollywood abode has custom cherry cabinetry throughout, a fireplace, four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and an outdoor pool. Security cameras are installed at the entrance.
The California real estate market has been a mixed bag over the past year. According to RealtyTrac, the foreclosure rate declined 14 percent - compared to a 2 percent jump in the U.S. housing market - but the unemployment rate remains high at 12.4 percent. The high unemployment rate has kept house hunters away.
