Over the last few years, there has been an increase in people relocating with their pets, Animal Airways - a pet relocation service - said. This has resulted in more demand for specialized pet shipping services for whether an owner is flying with them or they are being shipped as cargo.
Animal Airways provides documents and regulations checks, pre-flight veterinarian support and shuttles to and from the airport. A complete travel kit is also provided that includes pet and family member airline tickets, the pet relocation service said.
"Every single client is concerned with shipping his pet safely and comfortably," Animal Airways' head veterinarian Dr. Eytan Kreiner said. "Companies (need) to recognize this need and offer a professional solution combining pet's safety, health, comfort and well-being."
Whether a pet is flying alongside their owners or as a cargo, this can be a difficult experience for them. It's important for consumers to research the best ways in which to make this trip the most comfortable for them.
