Moving trucks might soon be seen outside former "American Idol" judge and pop icon Paula Abdul's home after she recently placed the estate in the Sherman Oaks area of Los Angeles on the market for close to $1.9 million.
The 4,679-square-foot Mediterranean home was built in 2000 and has five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. The estate features a grand entry with a double staircase and a master suite.
The master suite includes a fireplace and balcony that offers great views of the canyon and city. French doors also open to the home's outdoor patio and pool areas.
The 48-year-old singer and dancer began her career as a Laker girl. Following her career with the NBA team, she won Emmys for her choreography on "The Tracey Ullman Show" in 1989 and The 17th Annual American Music Awards. She also won a Grammy in 1991 for her work in the music video "Opposites Attract."
Recently, she was a judge on the popular singing show "American Idol" before a stint on the similar show "The X Factor."
Public records show the property was purchased in 2000 for $1.28 million. The average home price in Sherman Oaks is more than $340,000, according to Zillow.
