Former Denver Nuggets star is Big Apple bound.
NBA star Carmelo Anthony is moving to New York City, and on Sunday, an opposing player offered to sell him his New York City abode.
According to ESPN.com NBA writer Brian Windhorst, while Anthony and his New York Knicks were facing the Miami Heat, an opposing player, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, offered to sell Anthony his five-bedroom apartment, saying it was "awesome."
Anthony, formerly of the Denver Nuggets, was recently involved in a blockbuster trade that sent him to the Knicks in exchange for the Nuggets receiving players, draft picks and cash. The Golden State Warriors were also involved in the trade.
Windhorst did not report whether Anthony was interested in the offer. In the meantime, according to the New York Post, he's living at his wife's Trump SoHo duplex suite, which the paper says goes for $12,500 a night.
The New York real estate market is one of the country's costliest. According to the National Association of Home Builders, the New York-White Plains area was the least affordable major housing market during the fourth quarter of 2010.
