Martin Johnson, lead singer and songwriter from the group Boys Like Girls, recently bought and remodeled a home in Studio City, a neighborhood in Los Angeles, California.
The songwriter purchased the home for $737,000 earlier in the year and will soon be packing
up and moving in, having completed a remodel, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The Times reported the estate was built in 1978 and has two bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms in close to 2,700 square feet of space.
The contemporary-style house has an entertainment room and spa in addition to many other features, as well as canyon views, the source stated.
Boys Like Girls released their debut album in August 2006. It has sold more than 700,000 copies, which certifies the album as gold by the Record Industry Association of America. Their second album, "Love Drunk," was released in 2009 before Johnson began releasing solo material.
The average value for homes in Studio City is $662,800, which is down 8.7 percent from the average value at this time in 2010, according to Zillow.com.
