The Hollywood actress may be moving to Manhattan.
The girl that can't seem to find her way out of gossip headlines may soon be making waves in real estate circles.
Lindsay Lohan, who's currently embroiled in a trial for allegedly stealing a piece of jewelry earlier this year, may be moving to the New York City area.
According to her mother, Dina, Lohan will be apartment hunting in the Big Apple with her 23-year-old brother, Michael.
"She will be in New York a lot more going forward," Lohan's mother said. "She's actively looking for places in the city with her younger brother Michael."
Lohan, perhaps best known for her role in the film "Mean Girls," has become fodder for late night comics due to her frequent run-ins with the law, including driving while intoxicated, drug possession and grand theft.
Should Lohan wind up moving to the NYC area, she may have picked a bad time. According to home sales figures compiled by the New York Times from local real estate agencies, the number of apartments sold this quarter so far is down 23 percent compared to the same time last year.
