Jennifer Hudson moving back home to Chicago

Jennifer Hudson has announced that she is moving back home to be closer to her relatives.

The actress and singer has said that she and her fiance, David Otunga, are moving back home to Chicago with their 12-month-old son, David, so he can grow up closer to his relatives. Hudson added that the she also hopes to have another child - a daughter - sometime in the next few years.

"With the baby growing up, we want him to be around our family. We feel so secluded. Both David and I are the babies of the family, and we want to be home with our families as well," Hudson said.

The decision also comes with some sadness. Nearly two years ago, Hudson's mother, brother and nephew were killed in their Chicago-area home.

The couple's feeling that moving closer to relatives is a positive choice is one shared by many families. A recent survey of parents by Coldwell Banker Real Estate found that 72 percent had chosen to live within a half-hour drive from their relatives.
