The founder of Playboy, Hugh Hefner, recently placed his Chicago residential real estate on the market, following the announcement that the company's Chicago office is moving to Los Angeles.

The 84-year-old's former mansion was divided into condominiums, according to Dennis Rodkin from Deal Estate and Chicago Magazine. One of the condo units, which takes up a whole floor of the former Hefner mansion, is now on sale.

The condominium is up for sale for $5.8 million, which is a significant price cut from the original $6.7 million asking price. The unit features the bedroom Hefner formerly slept in, including the original woodwork and the infamous ballroom, which contained a slide that led to the pool in the basement. Little evidence remains of the property's colorful past, given that Hef's belongings were packed up in moving boxes and the building's pool has been removed along with the slide, but the trap door where it was once stationed is still intact and can be viewed as a souvenir.

In February, Hefner told The New York Times Magazine that he was ready to get married to fiancee Crystal Harris, who is 24 years old.

"This is it," Hefner said about his fiancee. "This is a very, very special one. I expect to spend the rest of my life with her."

The couple's relationship ended in June.

The average price of a home in Chicago is $162,800, according to Zillow.
