Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres recently purchased the mansion formerly belonging to actor Brad Pitt, who reportedly moved into the home after he and Jennifer Aniston broke up.
According to People magazine, transactions were completed December 16, and the final price on the mansion was $12 million.
There had been rumors that DeGeneres was interested in purchasing the estate for weeks, after she and her wife Portia De Rossi put their Beverly Hills home on the market for $49 million.
"We never had a house when I was growing up," DeGeneres told People. "We always rented. But my father would dream, and we used to look at houses all the time. I'd pick out which bedroom would be mine and get all excited." She added that once she made money, the first thing she did was buy a house, and multiple houses followed.
The new home where DeGeneres will be unpacking moving boxes
and settling in is 4,000 square feet and overlooks the Pacific Ocean, in addition to having a tennis court, pool and two separate guest houses on the property.
While DeGeneres and her wife are moving into the area, Howie Mandel is moving out, recently placing his Malibu home on the market for $7.25 million.
