If you prefer temperate weather, little rain and great beaches, San Diego is the place for you to recruit your moving company for a relocation trip. The city is located in between the Los Angeles and the Mexican border, and could be a perfect place for those who like it warm, but not too hot.

Only a two-hour drive to L.A., San Diego is in a great location in Southern California. Its highest average temperature is 77 in August, while the low only falls to an average of 48 in December, according to data from The Weather Channel. The days are relatively warm, with the nights only getting slightly cool outside.

This weather makes outdoor activities great options. You may be interested in the miles of beaches the city offers including Mission Beach and Ocean Beach. Since beach weather extends nearly the entire year, it's easy to have something to do outdoors most of the year.

There are more than 3.1 million people living in San Diego, which makes it one of the largest cities in the country, as well as the second-largest in the state of California. Those living in the city have a wide array of public transportation, including a three-line trolley system offering transportation to some of the area's most important landmarks and sights. Additionally, there is a wide-scale bus transit option, which can bring residents to many points in San Diego County and Tijuana.

San Diego offers multiple university options, such as the University of San Diego, San Diego State University and University of California, San Diego. There are also multiple smaller colleges and community colleges in the area.

Additionally, the city has two professional sports teams including the National Football League's Chargers and Major League Baseball's Padres. The three aforementioned colleges also host a large selection of college sports open to the community.

San Diego is rich in history, and its Spanish and Mexican influences are prevalent throughout many parts of the city. There are many signs of this through the city's architecture and local cuisine. There are multiple missions throughout San Diego County, and the area has the most missions out of any other county in the state. The largest is Mission San Luis Rey, slightly outside of the main part of San Diego, in Oceanside.
