If you are looking for warm weather, Las Vegas may be your desired destination. The winter low only drops to an average of 39 degrees, according to The Weather Channel. However, the summer high temperature averages 104 degrees.

Due to the city's location, there are many natural sites to see in the desert, which make for good recreational trips. This includes Death Valley National Park, Ash Meadows Wildlife Refuge and Bryce Canyon.

The city is most famous for Las Vegas Boulevard, commonly known as "The Strip." This is the center for gambling and nightlife, as it has multiple casinos, hotels and other amenities. Whether you plan to go with friends visiting the city, or just want a night out, one of the many concerts, restaurants and comedy clubs may be for you.

Las Vegas doesn't have any professional sports teams, but it is the home of UNLV's NCAA sports teams. The school's football team plays in Sam Boyd Stadium. This stadium also hosts the Las Vegas Bowl, each year. There is also the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which is the home of multiple NASCAR events.
