Texas is one of many states who are offering incentives to companies looking to relocate to the state and bring with them new jobs.
CCS Medical recently announced the company's headquarters will be moving to Farmers Branch, Texas, in the Dallas-Fort Wroth Metroplex. The company will pack up its supplies and drive the moving vans from Clearwater, Florida, to its new location.

CCS Medical CEO Dirk Allison said the relocation selection was easy as Texas has a superior business climate and strong work force that will help the healthcare products and services provider better serve its customers and develop quality medical devices.

The company will receive both state and local funding to assist with the move. The Texas Workforce Commission committed up to $506,000 in training funding and the City of Farmers Branch is providing $250 per job created up to $37,500 in direct funding for the corporate relocation. The relocation expects to bring 230 new jobs over the next two years to the local community. By 2013, the relocation is predicted to have a statewide economic impact of nearly $90 million.

Also relocating to a new spot, Battery Giant Franchise recently announced it is moving its first retail store from Sterling Heights, Michigan, to a more high profile location in Warren, Michigan. In its third year of business, the retailer has seen steady growth and continues to expand. The company's owner, Ray Cutway, started working in the battery industry in 1979 at his uncle's battery business as a sales person. Cutway decided to franchise the store after he saw the negative effect the economy had on mom-and-pop stores throughout the country.
