Bee Gees singer Robin Gibb selling Miami mansion

Bee Gees singer Robin Gibb recently placed his Miami mansion on the market.

Robin Gibb, a member of the popular singing group the Bee Gees, is selling his Miami mansion amid reports that he is extremely ill.

Gibb has lived in South Florida for more than 20 years, but is now packing up moving boxes to leave his 10,000-square-foot home.

He is reportedly suffering from a rare intestinal condition, which is the same one that his brother and group member Maurice Gibb died from in 2003.

The British-style Mediterranean home has seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms. The Multiple Listing Service described it as having a "breathtaking foyer, soaring 12-foot and 24-foot ceilings, a huge gourmet kitchen and a lavish master, a cozy family room, hurricane glass doors and windows, a generator, HVAC system and, of course, a state-of-the-art sound system throughout the house."

Gibb is reportedly selling the home for $4.25 million after purchasing it for $4.3 million in 2008 with his wife Dwina, according to Miami-Dade County records cited by GossipExtra.

According to the Miami Association of Realtors, the number of homes sold in the third quarter of this year spiked 51 percent from a year ago.
